​​The Digital Utilities Technology (DUT) team is looking for a hands-on Senior Manager to lead the development of Schwab’s Status Utility and Document Intake Platforms. You will be a key contributor of extending the excellence of Schwab's DUT group, providing Schwab's clients and advisors with an excellent equities & options trading experience.

You must be a passionate people leader and possess a solid technology background to provide oversight and guidance to teams and facilitate technological decisions. To be successful in this position you will have a strong relationship with business, technology, infrastructure and production support teams.

You will be part of a larger organization called Cross Enterprise Services (CES), which is focused on delivering consistent, enterprise quality and highly performant shared services for all of Schwab’s systems as building blocks for outstanding end-user experiences. CES offers a wide range of technological opportunities for the best and brightest people to grow and demonstrate their skills.​

What you have

Required Skills:

Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of application management/leadership experience with at least 4-6 years of distributed software development experience.
• Combined 10+ years of hands-on Software development / Project Management / Scrum Master experience.
• 8+ years of experience with running medium to large/complex projects with multiple dependencies using Agile (Scrum/XP/Kanban) processes in planning, implementation, and support of business application components, including change & release management.
• 6+ years of experience in messaging platforms such as Kafka and Rabbit MQ.
• 5+ years of experience in Financial Technology
• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environment.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
• Ability to analyze, propose and implement timely, cost effective, quality solutions for all issues or problems within area of responsibility.
• Strong influencing, negotiation, and critical thinking skills with an ability to identify stakeholders, assess their needs and manage their expectations through effective communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for composing and delivering technical presentations or other forms of documentation to various level of technical and non-technical management.
• Strong coaching and mentoring experience to build and sustain a high-performance team.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline is preferred.
• Experience implementing AI/ML, Generative AI, automation, analytics, or intelligent workflow solutions within enterprise environments.

• Establish metrics and KPIs to measure AI adoption, engineering productivity, delivery velocity, quality, and business outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise AI governance frameworks, security policies, data privacy requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Build and lead high-performing engineering teams capable of operating in an AI-enabled environment.
• Coach leaders and individual contributors on effective AI usage, prompt engineering, automation, and productivity practices.

• Knowledge in public cloud solutions like GCP or AWS.
• Experience leading AI transformation, AI Center of Excellence, AI Enablement, or AI adoption programs.
• Experience with AI governance, model risk management, responsible AI practices, and regulatory requirements in a highly regulated industry.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted SDLC methodologies, agent-based development, and AI-driven quality engineering.
• Experience measuring and driving AI adoption using engineering productivity and business outcome metrics.
• AI-related certifications (Microsoft AI, Azure AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, etc.).​​
