What you have

Required Skills -

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 9+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise web application development, with full-stack Java expertise and demonstrated experience mentoring junior developers.
• 5+ years building REST services supporting high-volume, highly available environments.
• 6+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• 4+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve coding productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity; willingness to adopt and champion AI tooling as part of standard engineering practice.
• Strong proficiency in RESTful service design and implementation using Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts, unit testing principles, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.
• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Ability to review requirements, produce a technical design, implement, and fully test the solution across unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to effectively engage technical and business stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
  

Preferred Skills -

• Experience with Spring Batch processing.
• Experience working in a highly regulated or financial services environment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and demonstrated experience working within Agile teams.
• Ability to research, document, and maintain architecture, design, and environment documentation across production and non-production systems.
• Willingness to learn and contribute across the full technology stack, including documentation of new capabilities as they are adopted.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI and automation tooling, with a desire to explore how these capabilities can be applied to improve team efficiency and software quality.
